Doug has done seven documentaries for national and international television, four of which were Emmy award winning. He also has won an Emmy for his camerawork on one show, and written scripts for four others. Ready public access to these films is an ongoing project; ask if you are interested. The National Geographic film "Jungle Kayakers" can be seen at the following link. It shows Doug and partners Bob McDougall, Markus Schmid, and Jerome Truran doing an incredible descent of the Shumulja river, following it underground through the Chen Cave, and kayaking the waterfall wonderland of Agua Azul
The National Geographic film "Stikine River Fever" was made of a 1998 descent of the Grand Canyon of the Stikine River (With Rob Lesser, Charlie Munsey, Gerry Moffatt, Wink Jones, and Reggie Crist). It can be seen at this link: Five additional films Doug has helped create:
